Carrie Miles holds a doctorate in social and organizational psychology from the University of Chicago.  Her book, The Redemption of Love: Rescuing Marriage and Sexuality from the Economics of a Fallen World was published by Brazos Press in 2006. Her Bible study guides, Male and Female in Christ and New Man, New Woman, New Life are in use in the United States, Finland, India, Uganda, Burundi, Kenya, South Africa and Romania.  She is a senior scholar in residence at Chapman University in Orange, California and a non-resident scholar at the Institute for the Studies of Religion at Baylor University in Texas. 

As president of Empower International Ministries, Carrie speaks, writes, and teaches on the Biblical ideal of marriage and family in the United States and Africa. She is planning her sixth trip to Africa in summer of 2010.
